Check-in is from 4pm on the day of arrival. It greatly helps us plan for your stay if you can give us an approximate time of arrival.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am every day, but should you require an early / late breakfast, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our continental selection & full English breakfast are offered ‘as standard’, but please note that all other cooked breakfasts need to be ordered by 11am the day before. You will find the breakfast menu on our website or at the back of the guest information folder in your room.
Rooms are tidied and tea trays replenished daily between 11am-1pm. Please put the door hanger on the outside door handle if you do not wish us to enter the room at this time.
Evening drinks are available by prior arrangement, and can be left in your room or in the sitting room at a pre-arranged time. During Wednesday and Friday evening meals, drinks are available to order throughout the evening until 10pm.
Evening meals: We offer two-course evening meals for residents on Wednesdays and Fridays - these meals are available to book until the Sunday before dining (48 hrs notice required for last-minute bookings). Drinks and nibbles are served at 7pm. The main course is served at 7:30pm.
Check-out is by 11am on the day of departure. Guests are requested to settle their room rate balance and any food/drinks charges after breakfast on their last day. We accept payment by cash, credit or debit cards. We are unfortunately unable to accept cheques, foreign currency or travellers' cheques.
Parking: Since our village with its tiny high street was built well before cars were invented, most old properties in Cley - including ours - have no space for off street parking. However, parking is free on the High Street outside Old Town Hall House. In addition, Cley village car park is free, spacious, and only a short walk away.
Room Facilities: There is a flat-screen Sony Bravia TV in each room, offering Freeview channels and a USB port for streaming content from other devices. Instructions for how to work the TV can be found in the guest information folder.
There is a Nespresso machine and a kettle in each room, presented with a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, fresh milk and biscuits which are replenished daily.
Each ensuite bathroom has a selection of White Company toiletries - we respectfully remind guests that these products are to be used as required and then left in the room, ready for the next guests.
A hairdryer is stored in the chest of drawers. An iron and ironing board can be provided on request.
Internet access: in each room there is a Roberts internet radio, with USB port for MP3 players, as well as access to free WiFi throughout the house.
Noise: We believe that our guests value a peaceful and quiet stay, and therefore respectfully request that you do not play music or entertainment on a high volume, especially in the mornings, and after 10pm.
Laundry: In line with our environmental policy we prefer to only wash bedding if necessary, and therefore will only change bedding after a minimum of three nights if requested. Likewise, please help us prevent the unnecessary washing of bath mats and towels by using the following system:
If you leave your towels in the bath/shower, we will gladly change them
If you leave your towels on the rail and hooks, you are happy to re-use them
Heating: The heating is thermostatically controlled and set to 20C in the mornings and evenings, but please let us know if you are feeling too hot or cold - we can provide an additional heater and extra blankets in the winter, or a fan to cool you down in hotter weather. The radiators in your room do have thermostats so you can adjust them according to how warm you like your room. The hot water supply to the rooms is continuous.
Bedding: Our king sized beds are dressed with feather and down pillows, 10 tog duvets and a blanket/throw. Hyper allergenic bedding is available on request. During hot weather spells, 4.5 tog duvets are available on request. Please ask at the time of booking.
Children: We are very happy to welcome children, however, we are unable to accommodate more than two guests per room. This means that families can only be accommodated if booking separate rooms, with one adult per room, or children staying in their own room. For this reason, we are also unable to offer fold-out beds or travel cots.
Pets: Unfortunately, we are not able to welcome pets, or even guide dogs, anywhere in the house.
Smoking Policy: Old Town Hall House is strictly a non-smoking establishment. You may smoke outside the front door, but please ask for an ashtray, and dispose of your cigarette ends responsibly.
Alcohol Licence: we are fully licensed to serve alcohol for consumption on or off the premises. We do not offer a 'Bring-Your-Own' service/corkage fee for our evening meals.
